Want to make it easy for customers to visit your website, find you on social media, or contact you directly? Adding a QR code to your product—like a business card, poster, or sticker—is a great way to do that!
Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to help you add a QR code to your design:
- Open Vista Studio: We recommend creating your QR code directly in Vista Studio to make sure the resolution is high-quality.
- Click on "QR Codes" from the left-hand menu.
- Enter your full URL (website, contact page, etc.), then click "Add QR Code."
- Adjust your design: Once the QR code appears, resize
- and reposition it to fit your layout. Zoom in to check that it looks clear and sharp. You can also change the color if you like!
- Preview before you print: Use the VistaPrint preview tool to see how your design will look once printed.
- Test your QR code: Before uploading your design, scan the QR code using your smartphone to make sure it works and directs users to the correct page
Helpful Tips
- For items like flyers, postcards, business cards, or brochures, a 25x25 pixel QR code usually works well since they’re viewed up close.
- For business cards, we suggest placing the QR code on the back. This gives you more space and keeps the front clean and professional.
- Avoid placing the code near the edges of your design—it might get trimmed off during printing.
- If you already have a QR code, use a high-resolution file when uploading it. Please ensure it meets the minimum requirement of 300 DPI to get the best results.
- For best results, your QR code should be at least 31mm x 31mm (1.22 inches x 1.22 inches). Anything smaller may not scan properly.
With these tips, you'll have a clean, scannable QR code that helps customers connect with you quickly and easily!
