Invitations and Announcements

A: Our fill-in-the-blank templates make it easy to write your invitations. As you browse designs, you’ll notice our invites have designated blank spaces for all the most essential information. That includes:

  • Who the event is for (aka the guests of honour)
  • The date and time
  • The venue and address
  • RSVP details, including contact information and a deadline for guests to send their response

All you have to do is type in the information, and you’re done.

And, if there are any other details you’d like to share with guests, you can always add more text in the design studio. Those details could be:

  • The dress code
  • A rain date for outdoor events
  • What guests should bring (if anything)
  • Requests for food allergy information
  • If it’s a kids’ party, whether parents should attend

A: Timing for when to mail your invitations varies based on the event. Use the list below as a general guideline.

  • Save the dates: 6-12 months prior to the date.
  • Wedding invites: 6-8 weeks.
  • Bridal shower, baby shower & graduation invites: 4-6 weeks.
  • Holiday & New Year’s invites: 4 weeks.
  • Birthday, anniversary & housewarmings invite 2-4 weeks.

We recommend adding 1-2 weeks to the timelines above for ordering. Printing and delivery turnaround for invitation orders is approximately one week – giving you plenty of time to receive, assemble and mail your invites.

A: Yes. You’ll have the chance to add envelopes after you’ve designed your cards. We offer multiple styles, including coloured envelopes and custom envelopes made to match your invites. You can also skip envelopes altogether (though we highly recommend including them).

A: There are lots of fun, simple ways to gussy up your invites. To start, choose an eye-catching template that matches your party. Then get creative with the details – when customizing your invite, explore our various colour options or embellish your card.
